Overview

David Mandelstam Table Tennis Academy ("DMTT", "we", "us") operates the website at dmttacademy.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used. We are based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and operate under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We store this to identify your account and grant access to purchased courses.

Payment information. Course purchases are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment details — Stripe handles all payment data directly. We receive a record of completed payments to grant course access.

Contact form submissions. When you submit the private lesson request form, we collect your name, email address, skill level, availability, and any message you include. This information is sent directly to David Mandelstam to follow up with you.

Profile information. You may optionally provide your skill level and phone number in your student profile. This helps David prepare for lessons.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to operate the academy platform:

• To provide access to courses you have purchased
• To communicate with you about your private lesson requests
• To process payments through Stripe
• To maintain your account and profile

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use your data for advertising.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Google OAuth — used for sign-in. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe — used for payment processing. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Mux — used to deliver course video content. Governed by Mux's Privacy Policy.
• Resend — used to send transactional emails (lesson request confirmations). Governed by Resend's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — used to host the platform. Governed by Vercel's Privacy Policy.
• Neon (PostgreSQL) — used to store account and enrollment data securely.

Cookies

This site uses a single session cookie to keep you signed in. This cookie is strictly necessary for the site to function and does not track you across other websites. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party tracking cookies.

Data Retention

We retain your account and enrollment records for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting and legal compliance. Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

Your Rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Withdraw consent to our use of your data
